Wedding season is officially here! You've already chosen your perfect partner, romantic venue...and of course, the dress. What's next? Your DJ of course! The perfect way to "make or break" your wedding and the awesome dance party to follow is music. Here are three tips to make sure that you pick the right DJ for your wedding.
1. Don't wait until the last minute to start your search . Take the time to get to know your musician to see if your personality and musical tastes "jive" together. The musical style of your DJ needs to match the look and feel of your wedding.
2. Ask to see his resume. You need to know how experienced, and how often your DJ performs for weddings - a lot changes in music and reception styles in 1 year!
3. Read the fine print. Nobody likes contracts - they're not romantic, but they are certainly necessary. Inquire about how things will be handled such as in the event of date changes or equipment malfunctions, and then make sure to get everything in writing.
